We stock longer lengths of 2.4m in 2 thicknesses: 15mm, which is most commonly used internally, and 25mm, most commonly used externally. Other thicknesses and shorter lengths are available, please contact us for details. 2.4m lengths are available for collection only, or these can be cut in half if delivery is required. Speed Pro 100mm X 90m Self Adhesive Drywall Joint Fibre Tape
The Speed Pro Self Adhesive Scrim Tape comes in rolls of 90 metres and is 100mm thick. The scrim tape is made from fibre glass in a mesh format which makes it very high in tensile strength, it also has good flexibility for ease of use. It is used to cover joints in plasterboards before plastering commences, the scrim tape will give a flush finish to the drywall system leaving no gaps for a smooth surface. It can also be used where there are cracks or holes in the walls and ceiling. The Speed Pro scrim tape is self-adhesive so no need for glue to be used making the job quick, easy and cost effective.

Our laths are the result of many years' careful observation of how different species of wood and cutting techniques behave in the potentially hostile environments that may occur. Resistance to insect attack, splitting, movement, staining and all round durability have led us to sawn Douglas Fir as the most stable long-term economic lathing option. We have chosen Douglas Fir because it is the strongest homegrown softwood, traditionally used for quality joinery, box sashes, etc. It is also a timber that contains a resin unattractive to beetles, and it has a low moisture content, so isn't prone to movement once attached and drying. Our laths are sawn 'green', so have a raised grain texture that also acts as a key for the plaster. We supply the finest quality, straight grained, oversized, sawn Douglas Fir laths, cut to a larger dimension of 39mm x 8mm. Available in lengths of either 2.4m or 1.2m.
We can also offer advice on detailing such as the use of pentice boards, stop beads, and corner beads. We do not offer sawn oak as a lath option: in our opinion, it has no historic provenance and is prone to more than reasonable expansion and shrinkage. Patchcote® is based on an Elizabethan plaster mix. It is a non-hydraulic lime plaster that can be used on practically any background and can be used internally or externally. Designed to be simple to use by anyone, this is a dry mix which you just add water to, with a long life once mixed. Patchcote® comes in a handy size tub with a handle for ease of use.

Rendercote is based on our best understanding of the probable mix used for the high relief stucco work at Hardwick Old Hall in Derbyshire, a lime plaster finish exposed to the elements since the mid eighteenth century. Rendercote is based on blend of limestone aggregates, sourced mostly from the Buxton area. It is combined with a moderately hydraulic lime and natural stearate to repel liquid water but allow free transport of water vapour. It is for use only for masonry backgrounds and is intended as a robust two coat system for high exposure areas such as parapet walls, chimneys and plinths, as well as windmills and lighthouses.

Warmcote™ has been developed to offer insulation for traditional, historic buildings where the use of modern systems would be inappropriate and potentially damaging.
Used in conjunction with sustainable, breathable boards such as cork, wood fibre or sprayed hemp, Warmcote's traditional lime plaster mix can make a significant improvement to the living environment of a home, as well as reducing the energy bill and the carbon footprint. The original drive behind its development was to offer some thermal benefit to traditional 'hard to insulate' buildings, particularly timber framed buildings where it may be aesthetically undesirable to apply boards to the exterior. It is breathable, flexible, very lightweight and can be applied at practically any thickness. The best achieved so far is 8" in two passes. Warmcote™ is incredibly useful if you are making good, damaged clay lump, cob, masonry or daub.
Warmcote™ is made with lightweight minerals as the aggregate in place of sand. The results of testing so far put the Lambda value of Warmcote™ at around 0.140 W/mK. That is about four times more thermally efficient than a standard lime plaster, and seven times better than sand and cement. Limecote™ is a versatile, ready mixed lime plaster that works almost anywhere, inside or out. It sticks to practically any background, including brick, wooden lath, straw bale and stone. Because it's non-hydraulic and stays flexible, it moves with timber framed buildings as the timber dries and settles, where rigid sand based mixes would crack and fail. You can use it however the job needs. Mix it thin to spray or skim a fine finish coat over historic plaster, or mix it thick to hand mould heavy relief and pargetting, like modelling clay. It's the same bag either way. Just add water to the consistency that suits the work. It's easy to work with on site. There's no right or wrong amount of water, it doesn't need to stand, and you can use it straight from the tub once mixed. Being dry bagged, it's simple to transport and store. Limecote™ is breathable, so walls can manage moisture the way older buildings were built to, and it's Class A1 fire rated. We make it ourselves in rural East Anglia from chalk and lime, a sustainable choice for conservation work and eco conscious new builds alike. The recipe is based on a lost medieval English formula, which is why you'll still find it on buildings standing five centuries later.

The Warmcote made the room at least 2 degrees warmer than it was previously which is a huge amount and keeps the room warmer for longer. The finish on the Limecote is great as well, it leaves the room with a nice natural cosy feel once painted with clay paint.
