    A Norfolk cottage built in clay blocks. The house is getting its new lime render, insulated Warmcote and traditional Limecote. A stunning job by Maltby Plastering.
  • Chocolate box cottage plastered in lime materials
    Chocolate box delight! A chance to call by with Dean Southernwood and look at this beautiful Suffolk thatched cottage, completed 18 months ago and still looking just as crisp and sharp. The project involved sheep's wool insulation & Savolit wood wool board, finished in Warmcote and Limecote.
  • Low carbon retrofit with Best of Lime lime plaster
    A sustainable low carbon retrofit in the Essex countryside. Hemp insulation by Hemp Lime Spray combined with Pavatherm, then Warmcote and Limecote beautifully applied by Duncan Cowper.

  • Georgian Fireplace with lime plaster surroundings
    The formal elegance of a newly refurbished Georgian interior, following a devastating fire. Stunning plasterwork including the cornice by G Cook & Sons Limited architects Nicholas Jacob Architects, main contractors Austin Newport Group. The walls and ceilings internally were all plastered using Warmcote, insulated lime plaster as a base and LImecote chalk plaster to finish.
  • 15th century hall being plastered in lime
    Warmcote insulated lime plaster, taking centre stage in the is beautiful Fifteenth Century Grade II* listed hall house. Ceiling all scratched in, ready for Limecote chalk plaster finish.

    Fantastic timber framed barn, clad in Pavatex Diffutherm, with Warmcote and Limecote internally and externally, which became part of the Best of Lime office (now at Haverhill). Living the lime dream!

The Best of Lime materials
At Best of Lime, our traditional lime plaster products are developed under the strict rule that they must be the best of what is available. We continuously listen to and evaluate feedback from specifiers and contractors as to how certain materials perform, both on site and long term.
Our lime plasters, manufactured by us on site in rural East Anglia, are sustainable, environmentally friendly building materials which tick all the requisite conservation and green boxes. We have yet to find anything that they won't stick to, including bricks, wooden lath, straw bale, and stone.
