Naturheld 140 is a compression-resistant wood fibre insulation board suitable for roofs, walls, floors, and facades. Breathable, renewable, and built to perform across a wide range of applications, it is a natural alternative to synthetic insulation that works in both new builds and retrofits. With a density of 140 kg/m³ and a nominal thermal conductivity of 0.041 W/mK, it delivers solid thermal performance while remaining lightweight enough to handle on site. The tongue and groove profile reduces thermal bridging at joints, and the vapour-open construction means moisture can move through the board rather than becoming trapped in the structure. When used for external wall insulation or interior plastering, Naturheld 140 works particularly well with Warmcote and Limecote.

Naturheld 140 is a wood fibre insulation board with a density of 140 kg/m³ and a nominal thermal conductivity of 0.041 W/mK. It covers roofs, walls, floors, and facades, without synthetic materials.
The boards are breathable and vapour-open. Rather than trapping moisture, they let it escape through the structure, which makes them a practical choice for timber frame builds, heritage retrofits, or any project where the building fabric needs to breathe.
Tongue and groove joints keep thermal bridging to a minimum at board junctions. When installed on a solid structure, boards can be left exposed for up to four weeks. On rear-ventilated facades this extends to four months, so construction does not have to stop every time the weather turns. A breather membrane is not required over roof sarking, though it is recommended.
For external wall insulation (ETICS) and interior plastering, Naturheld 140 takes a direct lime plaster finish. It works well with Warmcote and Limecote, two breathable lime plasters developed by Best of Lime specifically for timber frame and low-strength substrates.
Warmcote goes on first as a lightweight insulating base coat, adding thermal performance as it builds up. Limecote follows as a flexible, non-hydraulic finish. Used together over Naturheld 140, the three products form a fully breathable wall system. Numerous other approved plaster systems are compatible too, covering timber frame and stud frame construction with T+G boards from 80 to 160mm.
The boards also work for interior wall insulation, top storey ceilings, floor insulation beneath wet screed, and flat roofs.
PEFC certified, CE marked, and QNG ready. The density and fibrous structure also give it solid acoustic properties, cutting down airborne noise from traffic and rain.
Key applications:
"I recently had a bedroom plastered using Warmcote and Limecote and I could not be happier with the results.
The Warmcote made the room at least 2 degrees warmer than it was previously which is a huge amount and keeps the room warmer for longer. The finish on the Limecote is great as well, it leaves the room with a nice natural cosy feel once painted with clay paint.
I will be buying more again for the 2nd bedroom we are doing very soon.
Thanks guys!"
"Used their product Patchcote on my timber framed house for some repairs.
Really easy to mix, apply and finish.
Left-over product was just as pliable 3 days later, it can be left sealed inside the container supplied, after mixing, for up to a year!
Best product I’ve worked with!!"
"Limecote and Warmcote are ideal products for use on timber framed buildings and low strength substrates with their excellent flexibility, bond, and light weight compared to sanded plasters. Being dry bagged makes it easy to transport and store, with the added advantage of being able to adjust the mix to suit thin or very thick coats without compromising the product, or the quality of the finished work."
