George Clarke's Remarkable Renovations - Update!

George Clarke's Remarkable Renovations, aired Wednesday 27th July at 9pm on Channel 4, see the full details of our involvement……..

Peter & Julia purchased their property in 1998 and for 20 years ran its as a post office and convenience store until sadly they were forced to close in 2018. They loved the property so much they couldn't bring themselves to sell instead deciding to split the property back into two separate dwellings. The sale of the left property was to help fund the conversion of the shop into their forever home, but as soon as work began they discovered a crumbling wreck, falling apart at the seams!

We were contacted by Amazing Productions, the team behind George Clarke's Remarkable Renovations in the hope that we would be able to assist as they only had about 3 weeks before the final day of filming. The outside of the property, the only part of the original dwelling still remaining needed rendering!

It wasn't an easy job and many had said it couldn't be done!

Over just 4 days and battling the rain, Duncan's years of experience and expertise and Martin supplying the much needed labour and using Warmcote our amazing lightweight, breathable, insulated traditional lime plaster mix they managed to complete the job in time for the final reveal and bringing Julia to tears.

Testimonials

"I recently had a bedroom plastered using Warmcote and Limecote and I could not be happier with the results.

The Warmcote made the room at least 2 degrees warmer than it was previously which is a huge amount and keeps the room warmer for longer. The finish on the Limecote is great as well, it leaves the room with a nice natural cosy feel once painted with clay paint.

I will be buying more again for the 2nd bedroom we are doing very soon.

Thanks guys!"

"Used their product Patchcote on my timber framed house for some repairs.

Really easy to mix, apply and finish.

Left-over product was just as pliable 3 days later, it can be left sealed inside the container supplied, after mixing, for up to a year!

Best product I’ve worked with!!"

"Limecote and Warmcote are ideal products for use on timber framed buildings and low strength substrates with their excellent flexibility, bond, and light weight compared to sanded plasters. Being dry bagged makes it easy to transport and store, with the added advantage of being able to adjust the mix to suit thin or very thick coats without compromising the product, or the quality of the finished work."
